I wanted to make crossword puzzles as a fun, alternative assessment for our Vocabulary Development mini-lessons every week. This is the perfect app for busy teachers.

From scratch, and never having worked with this app before, I knocked out a perfect 10 clue crossword puzzle in less than 10 minutes. And that was with me doing a lot of tinkering and exploring. I love the ‘make puzzle’ button that allows you to change the layout of your puzzle, letting you to pick the most interesting — and least intimidating for the kids — shape of the puzzle. This is a great app for any teacher, at any level, of any subject.

I was scared of the $49.99 price, but I definitely do not have buyers remorse. I’m very happy with it, and I’ll use the heck out of this app for years to come.
